Multi-Screen Mobile Video Transcoder
The IMX e4100 multi-screen video transcoder is designed to help translate a single stream video into multiple video streams for multiple devices. Today, every single customer owns multiple devices with different screen sizes that are capable of playing videos. With IMX e4100 video transcoder, IPTV operators can offer streaming videos over the Internet to variety of devices including HD set top box, PC player, iPhone player, iPad/iPad 2 player and Android mobile player. The e4100 is able to take one single video stream input from IMX e4090 video encoder and transcode it into multiple streams based on devices supported.

The following
is an example of how IMX e4100 mobile multi-screen video transcoders and IMX e4090 IPTV HD video encoders are deployed in a
live service provider environment. IMX e4090 video encoders
are taking live satellite feeds and encodes the video into HD 1080p, HD 1080i, HD 720p or SD/EDTV format. Once videos are encoded, streams are sent to
IMX e4100 video transcoder to convert the video into multiple formats for HD set top box, PC player, Android player and iPhone player. Viewers can watch the same video from any of the devices listed above. This allows for maximum flexibility from both IPTV operator's point of view and IPTV customer's point of view. Once videos are converted, they are being sent to IMX X1i MatrixCast Streaming servers or IMX X1v VOD streaming servers for live streaming across the
Internet. All the interactions between all the different
servers are being managed by IMX M2200 middleware server.
